Switzerland tourism

Switzerland "lives" partly from tourism. And that for over 150 years! And that is why the tourism industry in Switzerland is also very well organized.

We have probably the best public transport system in the world! Trains, suburban trains, buses, ships and even large mountain railroads are coordinated with each other according to the timetable. This facilitates travel immensely! There are special tickets for tourists. Simply inform yourself at the SBB (Swiss Federal Railways).

The gastronomy and hotel industry has reached a high standard. Restaurants with food from all over the world can be found in every city. In the countryside, the emphasis is on regional food. And there is by far more than raclette or fondue! Swiss cuisine is varied and healthy! 

A large part of tourism in Switzerland is based on winter tourism with all its facets such as white mountain landscapes, snow sports like skiing, snowboarding, apres ski, carriage rides, ice skating, ice hockey, curling or simply walking.
